OVERVIEW

Did you know that on average we only remember 10% of what we have heard or read by the end of the week? That’s right, 90% is forgotten in just a week! Add to this that employee communication has been proven to be one of the key factors leading to trust and employee engagement between employees and businesses, and what does this mean? It’s vital that if we want a workforce that is informed and engaged, we need to communicate effectively and with impact, or we will never meet our company’s objectives.

And it’s not just downstream, to our employees, but upstream to our leadership team or Boards. How do we prepare and communicate our business cases in a way so they will buy into and support our proposals?

This highly-interactive classroom course is designed around the IMPACT communication model which Debra developed and showcased in her widely-acclaimed book, Build it: The Rebel Playbook. Clear learning outcomes are defined along with a training syllabus, objectives and course content.

  • Day 1 focuses on the strategic, tactical and operational components of the IMPACT communication model.
  • Day 2 largely comprises a fascinating interactive group exercise based on a fictitious business case study, pulling together all the learnings from Day 1 experientially. It also includes an exercise to help you master the key skills required to build and deliver a business case to your board.

To ensure that this fun course really fits your learning needs, delegates will be asked to complete a brief survey prior to the class to identify your specific knowledge gaps and training requirements. We will also uncover any communication challenges you have in your business. Delivery of the content will then be tailored accordingly.
