INTRODUCTION

Global operations and expansion come with critical challenges. Navigating operations in a global marketplace requires vital insights for attracting, engaging, and retaining a diverse workforce around the world. You need a comprehensive framework for evaluating global total rewards and compensation designs that are created with local sensitivity and a cohesive rewards philosophy aligned with your organisational strategy.

In this course, you will learn the considerations to examine as you create impactful total rewards programmes and fully optimise them to attract and retain high-performing talent on a global scale.

  • Delivered by an experienced instructor.
  • Live-streamed course (Zoom) with a small number of participants in a virtual classroom style.
  • This is an interactive programme so that you will be able to consider the issues discussed in the context of your organisation and your experience.
  • Slides, discussion and very short exercises will be used.

ENTRY CRITERIA

  • We recommend taking Managing Global Rewards as the final course toward your GRP certification.
  • To get the most out of this course, you will need to have working knowledge of the WorldatWork total rewards model, compensation fundamentals of a total rewards strategy, labour regulations, base pay systems, variable pay programmes and market pricing.
  • Entry- to mid-level HR and reward professionals interested in understanding compensation programmes.
  • If you have several years of experience in reward, you will find these courses give you a valuable review of standard practice and theory, along with an update on current trends in compensation.

LENGTH OF STUDY

You should plan to spend approximately nine hours in a virtual class and six hours on self-guided work. Prework may be required in preparation for the first day of class.

Dianne is the founding member of Auld Compensation Consulting, operating out of Cape Town, South Africa. Her consulting work around the world covers all areas of total rewards, including reward strategy, base pay management, job evaluation, pay structuring, incentive design and sales compensation. She has developed and taught Excel and rewards courses in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the United States.

As a WorldatWork faculty member, Dianne teaches the GRP reward qualification courses in Southern Africa. She is the author of Dianne Auld’s Excel Tips, 3rd edition. Dianne has developed and recorded several e-learning products for WorldatWork, including Excel Skills, Advanced Excel Skills and Pay Structures. She is an honorary life member of the South African Reward Association (SARA) and an accredited Master Reward Specialist.
