SMEs are growth area for employee benefits – MetLife UK

Employee benefit consultants are looking to the UK’s small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) for growth, new research from benefits broker, MetLife UK, suggests. As many as 60% of consultants it surveyed believe that better take-up and penetration of benefits among SMEs is the greatest priority for the employee benefits industry in the next two years. At the heart of this demand is a requirement for better benefits communication: 39% of benefit consultants cited better communication as a factor driving SME demand.

Adrian Matthews, Employee Benefits Director, MetLife UK, said:

‘Well-tailored benefits that are well communicated can make a significant difference to SME staff retention and employees will welcome support in improving physical health and wellness as well as financial wellness in the workplace.’
