New vehicle leasing service launched

Company car provider Lex Vehicle Leasing has launched a new service which aims to recognise the broad range of objectives a company car fleet is required to meet including those of HR.

Called "Lex Momentum", it operates as a professional project team with extensive experience in managing change to deliver solutions. Paul Roberts, an associate director in the Momentum team, explained: "At the heart of the team are Lex specialists who specialise in HR, taxation and finance offering a consultative approach to managing employee car benefits and assesses the strategic, operational and user requirements in each company, before making recommendations on how to improve overall car benefit expenditure. The new service is particularly suited to organisations running larger, more complex company car plans."

There are a number of car areas in which HR has an interest including reward effectiveness, car benefit administration, legislation and compliance, and employee risk management. The Lex approach is designed to help organisations with car decisions around current hot topics such as flexible benefits and benefit communication.

Roberts said: "Cars can be an effective tax-efficient form of remuneration with employees able to choose their tax rate. Technology and fully-outsourced services mean the 'hassle' traditionally associated by HR with car administration has gone."
