IRS case study looks at new pay structure at Budgens

Grocery retailer Budgens has developed a new three-tier grading structure, with differentials between a provincial rate and inner London band, according to a case study by IRS.

The three-page report says the restructuring exercise was prompted by the latest uprating in the national minimum wage and the introduction of a new store concept focusing on customer service.
