Gender pay reporting - consultation closes 28 October 2009

The Equality and Human Rights Commission is working with the government, the business community, trade unions and other stakeholders to help develop proposals for gender pay reporting by the private and "third sectors", which will be promoted on a voluntary basis.

The Commission's consultation document seeks input from employers, unions and others about their preferred approach. The consultation is aimed at employers of 250 or more employees in the private and voluntary sectors, as well as representative bodies and trade unions organising in these sectors.

Survey for women in the private and third sectors

The Commission is also seeking to hear from women in the private and the third sector about their experiences and views on gender pay reporting.
