BAT launches new shopping service for head office staff

As many as 40% of staff at British American Tobacco's head office in central London have signed up to an intranet-based shopping service provided by Jumpleads, allowing them to order shopping from high street retailers and have it delivered to their workplace.

Jumpleads provides a similar benefit to well-established staff discount schemes but it also addresses more practical issue. As Phil Nunn, sales director at Jumpleads, explains: "Busy professionals don't always have time to get to the shops, and they're not generally at home during working hours to receive deliveries. Jumpleads saves people money, but it also saves them time, and that's where it's so valuable."

Malcolm Douglas, BAT's remuneration and benefits manager, says: "I have been delighted by the positive reception to the Jumpleads service in head office. It's a new service here, but has already proved its worth, and is a valuable addition to the benefits that we offer our staff."
