New minimum wage rates

The National Living Wage for all working people aged 25 and over will increase from £7.20 to £7.50 an hour from 1 April 2017. The national minimum wage for workers between the age of 21 and 24 increases to £7.05 an hour, and the rates for 18-20 year olds and 16-17 year olds increase to £5.60 and £4.05 an hour respectively. The rate for apprentices under the age of 19 (or in the first year of an apprenticeship if older) rises by 10p an hour to £3.50.
